Amb. Yulisa Ahmadu, is a seasoned Diplomat, Entrepreneur and Youth Activist. Yulisa, Sierra Leone’s appointed Youth Envoy, by His Excellency the President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, is a prominent figure in the country's Youth and Entrepreneurial landscape. Yulisa is not only a recipient of Sierra Leone’s prestigious "50 Most Influential Young Sierra Leoneans Award" but also serves as a motivational speaker and the CEO of Yulisa & Co.
Yulisa's contributions have been recognized through various accolades, including the '50 Most Influential Young Sierra Leoneans Award' and the title of 'Youth Ambassador' bestowed upon him by the Ministry of Youths and The National Youth Commission in Sierra Leone. Yulisa was also recently honored with President Joe Biden's Leadership and Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023 for exceptional dedication to leadership. As a highly respected youth activist and media personality, Yulisa has a strong social media influence in Sierra Leone. Additionally, he serves as the brand influencer for BnB Remittance Corporation in Sierra Leone.
With over a decade of experience in broadcasting on esteemed platforms like AIRadio, Star Radio, and AYV, Yulisa brings a wealth of expertise to his roles. His background in digital marketing, content production, strategic communications, and marketing further underscores his multifaceted skill set. And has been featured on Aljazeera, CNN and BBC.
Prior to his current endeavors, Yulisa also lent his talents to Sierra Leone's leading mobile network, Orange. Where he managed Digital Communication Strategy, Sponsorship, and Advertising professionally with a rich background spanning over six years. Passionate about empowering youth and fostering positive change, Yulisa continues to make significant contributions to the socio-economic fabric of Sierra Leone through his diverse engagements and initiatives. He recently launched The Yulisa Ahmadu Seed Foundation where he supported young entrepreneurs and start ups with seed funding of $2,000 each to promote their businesses. Yulisa also launched an initiative to support Young people “first time offenders” in conflict with the law with funding to assist with legal representation and to secure bail from the prison system in Sierra Leone.
Being was deeply moved by the widespread issue of youth unemployment in Sierra Leone. Yulisa co-founded Sugar Entertainment SL Ltd in collaboration with Emmerson Bockarie, a renowned musician, and multimedia expert. Together, they established the nation's premier music and multimedia company with a mission to empower Sierra Leonean talents, enabling them to harness their skills and commercialize their artistry through music. Yulisa holds the position of President within the company and serves as the Manager for its flagship artist and CEO, Emmerson Bockarie, whose music has garnered global acclaim and significantly impacted the socio-political landscape of Sierra Leone.
In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Yulisa contributes his expertise to the advisory boards of Priority Solutions SL Ltd, the nation's premier multimedia and marketing agency (Owners of Silk TV and Epic Radio)in Freetown. A distinguished alumnus of Njala University with a degree in Sociology, Yulisa is a META-certified Digital Marketing Associate, a PMP certified Project Manager and Scrum Master .
